About AssetCare

AssetCare has been active in the world of investment funds and institutional investors since 2006 and has grown significantly in recent years. We support funds in setting up and administering investments in equities, private equity and other asset classes. This places us at the heart of the financial sector, with clients managing assets ranging from 5 million to several billion euros.

What sets us apart is our fundtech approach: we are continuously developing our own technology, such as the AssetCare Portal and the AssetCare Data Centre, which enable us to automatically collect, process and make data accessible. This gives fund managers and their investors constant insight into their investments and key fund data.

AssetCare is growing rapidly and is in the midst of transitioning to a fully scalable fundtech platform.

Our team of approximately 30 ambitious professionals works in an open, informal culture that focuses on responsibility, entrepreneurship and collaboration. Our office is located on the 19th floor of the Mondriaan Tower near Amsterdam Amstel, offering stunning views of the city.

About the position

AssetCare’s Data & Engineering team is looking for an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer. Our team is responsible for building the AssetCare Portal and Datacenter, platforms that modernize and automate the operational backbone of investment funds.

We are entering an important new phase focused on scalability, platform innovation and international growth. In this role, you will help build the systems and infrastructure that enable AssetCare to scale its platform globally.

Within our nimble, ambitious and fast-growing organization, your contribution will be immediately visible and your work will have direct impact from day one. You will receive significant ownership and responsibility early on, while working closely with both technical and business stakeholders.

Who you are

We are looking for someone for whom the following resonates:

  • Endlessly curious about both technology and the business domain behind it;
  • Likes to understand problems rather than just implement solutions;
  • Takes end-to-end ownership, from design through deployment;
  • Thinks about the why (business context), not just the what and the how;
  • Cares deeply about technical quality and enjoys discussing trade-offs with peers;
  • Can clearly articulate technical decisions in business language;
  • Prefers working in small teams where everyone’s opinion genuinely matters.

Experience and background

What we’re looking for:

  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience;
  • Proficiency in at least one backend language; Python/Django experience is a plus;
  • Comfortable working across the stack — frontend experience (Vue.js or similar) valued;
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and data modeling;
  • Experience building or maintaining cloud-hosted applications;
  • Strong technical judgment: you can weigh trade-offs, communicate your reasoning, and know when good enough beats perfect;
  • Excellent communication skills in English;

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience scaling large systems;
  • Experience in startups or fast-growing scaleups;
  • Experience mentoring engineers;
  • Dutch language skills.

  • A base annual salary of €77,760 gross, including holiday allowance (a higher salary may be offered depending on knowledge and experience);
  • 8% holiday allowance, travel allowance, and daily lunch provided at the office;
  • Participation in the company bonus scheme (0–3 additional monthly salaries), resulting in a total annual compensation ranging from €77,760 to €95,760;
  • 26 vacation days and a solid pension plan;
  • Training budget of €2,000 per year;
  • Strong secondary benefits, including a bike plan and contribution towards ClassPass;
  • The opportunity to work across two offices in Amsterdam:
    – AssetCare → located on the 19th floor of the Mondriaantoren, with panoramic views across Amsterdam;
    – Trustmoore → located on De Lairessestraat in Amsterdam Zuid, in a beautiful office with its own bar and garden.
  • A unique opportunity to play a key role in the fundamental digital transformation of the investment fund industry

What your future colleagues say

"This role encourages you to take initiative in all aspects of your work. Everyone is ready and willing to help, but you need to be intrinsically motivated to take ownership of tasks and have a genuine desire to dive deep into the details.”
