About AssetCare

AssetCare has been active in the world of investment funds and institutional investors since 2006 and has grown significantly in recent years. We support funds in setting up and administering investments in equities, private equity and other asset classes. This places us at the heart of the financial sector, with clients managing assets ranging from 5 million to several billion euros.

What sets us apart is our fundtech approach: we are continuously developing our own technology, such as the AssetCare Portal and the AssetCare Data Centre, which enable us to automatically collect, process and make data accessible. This gives fund managers and their investors constant insight into their investments and key fund data.

AssetCare is growing rapidly and is in the midst of transitioning to a fully scalable fundtech platform.

Our team of approximately 30 ambitious professionals works in an open, informal culture that focuses on responsibility, entrepreneurship and collaboration. Our office is located on the 19th floor of the Mondriaan Tower near Amsterdam Amstel, offering stunning views of the city.

About the position

As a Senior Fund Accountant (32 to 40 hours per week) at AssetCare, you support investment funds and institutional investors, enabling them to focus fully on their investment activities. You are responsible for the accurate processing of transactions, the calculation of official fund valuations (Net Asset Value – NAV), and the preparation of reports for investors and supervisory authorities.

Fund information is automatically received through the AssetCare Datacenter and processed by the team within our fund administration systems. Looking ahead, we continue to develop an increasingly efficient fundtech platform. As a result, your role will gradually shift from primarily execution-focused activities toward analysis, control, and optimization.

We are seeking an experienced Fund Accountant, as in-depth practical knowledge is essential. Only with a thorough understanding of fund administration processes is it possible to improve workflows, identify bottlenecks, and contribute meaningfully to innovation. Together with a close-knit team, you will actively work on improvements and innovations within fund administration.

Your responsibilities include, among others:

  • Maintaining and processing administrations for pension funds and investment funds across all asset classes;
  • Calculating the official fund value (Net Asset Value – NAV) and processing investor subscriptions and redemptions;
  • Preparing fund reports and mandatory regulatory reports for supervisory authorities such as the AFM and DNB;
  • Preparing and/or reviewing annual financial statements;
  • Maintaining reporting frameworks such as Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and ISAE 3402 documentation;
  • Acting as a primary point of contact for clients, accountants, and auditors.

At AssetCare, you combine expertise with technology. Due to our rapid growth, you will have a high level of responsibility and impact from day one. In addition, you will actively contribute to the scaling of AssetCare into a fully developed fundtech platform, aimed at making the fund industry more efficient, transparent, and reliable.

Who you are

  • You have strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the drive to continuously improve processes;
  • You set high standards for the quality of your work and for the services provided to our clients;
  • You have a natural affinity with figures and financial data;
  • You perform well under pressure, work in a results-oriented manner, and are able to set priorities in a dynamic environment;
  • You proactively contribute ideas for process improvements and are willing to take initiative.

Do you recognize yourself in this profile but do not meet all the requirements? We nevertheless encourage you to submit your CV so that we can explore the possibilities together.

Experience and background

  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in a comparable role within the financial sector;
  • A completed higher professional education (HBO) or university degree (WO), or demonstrable HBO/WO level of working and thinking;
  • Experience with financial administration and bookkeeping, specifically within the investment and asset management domain;
  • Experience with the interrelationship between transactions, valuations, investor flows, and reporting obligations;
  • Experience working in collaboration with technology teams is considered an advantage.

What we offer

  • A competitive base salary of at least €5.500 gross per month based on a full-time position (40 hours per week), with a higher salary possible depending on experience and profile;
  • Holiday allowance of 8% per year calculated on the base salary;
  • Participation in our bonus scheme, with a maximum bonus of 2 monthly salaries, consisting of 1 month based on individual performance and 1 month based on a company-wide revenue target;
  • The opportunity to further develop your competencies and knowledge through an annual training budget of € 2.000;
  • Lunch provided at the office;
  • 25 days of annual leave based on a 40-hour working week;
  • A pension scheme of which two-thirds of the contribution is borne by the employer.
  • Maximum travel expense reimbursement based on second-class public transportation;
  • A unique opportunity to work at the heart of the financial sector on innovative products;
